Welcome to the Harrisonburg Women's Service League!
HWSL recognizes the amazing contributions that a dedicated group of women can make to our community.
Service + Social
Our mission is to meet the needs of women and children in our community, both through financial contributions and service.
Formerly the Harrisonburg Junior Women's Club, the League re-branded itself in 2010 in an effort to better ensure that all League funds stay in our local community. The League meets annually from September to June. Typical activities may include hands-on service projects, supply drives for local organizations, planning our awesome holiday auction, and sponsoring our Charity Classic golf tournament. Throw plenty of wine and social activities in for good measure, and you'll find that HWSL makes community service even more rewarding by creating great friendships.
Organizations supported through the philanthropic work of HWSL include, but are not limited to: Massanutten Regional Public Library, Boys & Girls Club, Explore More Discovery Museum, HARTS shelter, Area 4 Special Olympics, Harrisonburg/Rockingham Free Clinic, Department of Social Services, Patchwork Pantry, Mercy House, First Step Domestic Violence Shelter, and more! One of our largest accomplishment to date was raising $25,000 for the RMH Foundation to support the Image Recovery Center.
